Meet Lani Kent

I am a registered social worker with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families within mental health and therapeutic settings.

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in understanding the importance of connection, safety, and emotional experience. I value creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without judgement.

Alongside therapeutic work, I have worked in senior clinical and therapeutic leadership roles supporting multidisciplinary teams and reflective practice. My experience includes trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care, attachment-focused practice, and supporting families navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.

I am trained in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Neurodevelopmental Assessments (ASD/ADHD) and draw on principles for Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Throughout all my experience, I truly believe therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about helping individuals and relationships feel safer, more connected, and better understood.

I look forward to getting to know you.
